NON-NHS
SERVICES
There are some services that are not covered by
the NHS for which the doctors will make a charge. These include medicals for sports,
insurance, HGV/PSV licences, and where a doctor's signature is required on private insurance forms, travel vaccinations and private sick notes. Ask
at reception for further details.
SURGERY
ACCESS
Car parking is available near to the surgery, but
please avoid the Shirley Clinic car park in front of the surgery in the morning.
There is a good local bus service along
the Stratford Road. We have a covered porch for prams etc, and the front entrance
is ramped to give easy access for the disabled in wheelchairs. We also have toilets
suitable for the disabled as well as two parking spaces next to the surgery front
door.
STAFF PROTECTION
In line with
government recommendations for the NHS, this practice supports the government's
NHS zero tolerance campaign. It is our policy that rudeness, swearing, abusive,
threatening or intimidating behaviour towards any member of staff or other patients
will not be tolerated. Such behaviour may result in removal from our practice
list.
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
The
Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication
Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the 'classes' of information the practice
intends to routinely make available. The scheme is available from the practice
manager.
